The Pour tile collection was created in collaboration between the UK tile maker Bert & May and the London-based ceramic and houseware brand Henry Holland Studio lead by Henry Holland (above). Pour features hand-poured encaustic and printed glazed tiles inspired by the art of nerikomi —which involves stacking and cutting colored pieces of clay to form different patterns. The collection for walls, backsplashes, and floors involves hand mixing and then pouring two pigments together into the moulds, resulting a unique pattern every time. It is available in four colors, Rosemary, Mineral Blue, Rust, and Purple Brown, in a range of shapes and sizes.
An interpretation of the traditional Victorian feature, the Dado tile is a new shape to Bert & May that can be used on its own to augment an existing scheme, or combined with an existing tile display. Other shapes include an alternative to a more common square or herringbone tile, ogee skirting, and a new skirting tile shape to Bert & May with a rounded edge finish for walls.
