Two weeks ago I had the good fortune to be part of a group of design bloggers invited to participate in BlogTour London, a trip to the London Design Festival that was hosted and sponsored by the interior design resource Modenus.com along with several leading building product manufacturers. During the tour, we made stops to the Victoria & Albert Museum, the 100% Design show in Earls Court, designjunction in Holborn, and Tent London and Super Brands London in Shoreditch, as well as several architectural projects and showrooms around town. In the next few weeks, I will be covering my finds from the festival (for my report for Architectural Record magazine, click here), along with what is new and of genuine interest to readers of this site from the tour’s sponsors. I will mark those posts with a disclaimer, so it is clear when I posting about a company that sponsored my trip.

One of the highlights of the trip was the launch party for the new Modenus.com at the quirky Citizen M hotel in London’s Southwark neighborhood. In front of an audience of designers, bloggers, and media, Modenus.com CEO and BlogTour hostess extraordinaire Veronika Miller presented the new look and features of the site, including a customizable design portfolio section, a section dedicated to BlogTours past and present, and a new project board concept with custom grids and a choice of privacy settings that can be used by designers or consumers.Visitors can also browse new products by category or view the site’s weekly picks or most popular products of the week.

Based in the U.S., Modenus is launching Modenus Germany later this year with plans for further expansion to the U.K and Australian markets in 2014. Visitors to the site can follow live feeds from the next BlogTour, which takes place in Los Angeles from October 1-6.
Disclaimer: Modenus.com was one of the sponsors of my trip to the London Design Festival as part of BlogTour London. The opinions in the post are entirely my own.
