If you want your walls to reveal something about you then you might like the new tile collection that the contemporary textile and wallpaper design studio Timorous Beasties have designed for cle. Designed by Paul Simmons and Alistair McAuley, The Rorschach Tile Collection includes five vibrant designs hand-lithographed on 12″ x 12″ limestone or thassos marble tiles. Inspired by traditional damask motifs (which originated in the 9th century), Timorous Beasties have integrated the classic pattern with Rorschach conceptual imagery. Simmons and McAuley have used hand drawing, marbling, and puddles of ink to achieve the imagery which will create a wallpaper effect for bathrooms, fireplaces, kitchens, and even light traffic floors. I think the vivid colors and patterns have an Indian feeling to them — but maybe that’s just what I see. The collection is available exclusively at
