Switchmate hopes to be the next big thing in lighting control. Using powerful magnets, this new device easily snaps on to any standard light switch, giving users the freedom to control the switch either at the tap of the control button or via the Switchmate companion app.
The battery-operated controller currently works on a standard toggle switch, a rocker/decora switch, or multi-gang versions of these switches. The app allows users to control devices with a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone and lets them to turn lights on and off on demand or set timers for when they are away from home. No more setting up timers at individual lamps throughout the home or coming home to a dark house.
Switchmate is available for pre-order until April 1st, and buyers can get one right now on Indiegogo for $30 each.
