The Pittsburgh-based building products manufacturer Forms+Surfaces (F+S), a leader in graphic glass technologies, has announced it has acquired Joel Berman Glass Studios, a leader in kiln cast glass. Joining the F+S family as BermanGlass, the line brings dynamic, 3D designs to the manufacturer’s existing glass program.
The BermanGlass line debuts with kiln cast glass and fused glass, and includes an artistic mix of sculptural patterns and textures for use in glass applications including walls, columns, railings, partitions, room dividers, architectural accents, and other project-specific features.
BermanGlass expands the F+S manufacturing footprint with a facility in Vancouver, BC, Canada. From there, F+S will immediately begin exploring new ways to evolve the BermanGlass line. Within the F+S family, BermanGlass joins the F+S Surfaces group, a vast materials palette that includes Stainless Steel, Fused Metal, Bonded Metal, Bonded Quartz, and VividGlass, Forms+Surfaces’ line of laminated architectural glass. Whereas BermanGlass emphasizes 3D textures and dimensionality, VividGlass draws on proprietary graphic and manufacturing technologies to bring a range of colors, graphics, and etched designs to glass. Keep an eye out for what’s coming next from these two innovative, quality brands.
