Earlier this year, German manufacturer BLANCO introduced several new products to the residential market, including faucets in both traditional and contemporary designs. Suitable for compact sinks or work areas, BLANCO’s contemporary Alta Compact faucet features an extendable pull-out design with a dual-spray feature and a spout that can be swiveled through 120 degrees for greater coverage. The faucet retails from $495 in six SILGRANIT II color finishes that are resistant to heat, chips, scratches, and food acids, and offer an impervious Hygienic+Plus shield against bacteria and dirt. The faucet is also available for $425 in chrome and $495 in satin nickel.

This modern faucet is particularly suited for BLANCO’s Modex kitchen sink workstation, which won a 2012 Red Dot award for its distinct raised profile, cubic style, and dual draining system. Using just gravity, the seamless integrated drainboard leads drips back down the drain – a solution that makes it easier to clean while making it also incredibly sexy.

Like Alta Compact, Modex is available in SILGRANIT II finishes in Cinder, Anthracite, and White. It measures 19-1/2″ wide x 15-3/4″ long x 7-7/8″ deep and retails at $1,750.
