- The home page for Lamps Plus’ new 55DowningStreet.com decor and furnishings site.
Before I left my full-time magazine editing job last June, I worked in the same drab cubicle for 14 years. One of things that made my space a little unique was a custom black-and-white lamp from Lamps Plus. Peeking over the edge of my wall, the lamp made my area just a bit more homey, and now that I work from home it serves as a bedside lamp.
Lamps Plus, which is the nation’s largest specialty lighting store, recently revamped its 55DowningStreet.com home decor site that was launched in May 2012. The site offers indoor and outdoor furniture, decorative wall mirrors, fountains, and a full selection of regularly priced merchandise alongside flash sale events four days a week. There are more changes to come next year. Starting in early 2014, 55 Downing Street will launch its first three exclusive house brands – Dahlia Studios, Chateau Lux, and Cinnabar Road.
