Hikari Lamps by Fiyel Levent

I spotted these intricately patterned cylindrical lamps by Fiyel Levent Atelier at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show in March. Inspired by Japanese design and handcrafted in Brooklyn, the Hikari Lamps begin as ink and pen drawings that are scanned through various programs before they are made from laser-cut paper, custom-machined brass hardware, and metallic cords. The expanded Hikari collection includes a smaller (15” high x 5” wide) and larger version (2′ high x 8′ wide) of the original Hikari lamp pendant. Fiyel Levent Atelier, a New York-based design studio led by American designer Fiyel Levent, is also known for custom design and art installations.
