At this year’s NeoCon tradeshow, Yves Béhar and fuseproject’s new collaboration with Herman Miller was not just another light or chair, but an entire office furniture system. This week at their Merchandise Mart showroom, Herman Miller introduced the Public Office Landscape collection, an elegant, modular, kit-of-parts for collaborative desk and meeting spaces.
The core component of the Public system is the Social Chair, a soft seating group that can accommodate a range of people and postures as they work at their desks as well as in group areas and throughout the office. The chair’s top surface seamlessly links to desks, storage units, and other Social Chairs. The chair is joined by screens, freestanding bins with or without doors, café tables, desks, and shelves. Of course, the entire collection goes well with Béhar’s award-winning Sayl chair (pictured above). Bonus points if you can also spot the other fuseproject design (not for Herman Miller) shown in the photo below.
